CODE OF CONDUCT

Bama Jamma is an event that celebrates dance, friendships, and enjoying each other’s company. 

This environment is for everyone regardless of race, age, level of dance, sexual orientation, gender/gender identity, disability, physical appearance or

 religion.

We do not tolerate harassment or threats of any kind. Any situation which makes another person feel unsafe or uncomfortable to the point of being unable to enjoy the event is unacceptable and can be considered harassment. If you harass or threaten someone, you may be asked to leave. 

We expect all attendees to be respectful towards anyone they interact with both on and off the dance floor

Please respect the boundaries of the person you are dancing with.  If you are unsure, please ask.

If an attendee declines your invitation to dance, please respect this decision.

REPORTING

If an individual or situation is causing you distress at the Bama Jamma event, please see Jennifer Nye or April Prince and we will address the issue at hand.  If you are unable to reach us, please see the DJ and they will have us paged.  You may also email us at info@bamajamma.com with the subject “code of conduct” if you prefer more discretion.  Your report will be anonymous.

IMMEDIATE EXPULSION CONDITIONS

Behaviors that will result in IMMEDIATE removal from the event with a forfeiture of all registration fees:

  • Breaking state or federal laws
  • Violent or harassing behavior of any kind
  • Any physical altercation

GENERAL ATTENDEE REQUIREMENTS

  • No one will be admitted to the event space without registering and signing a Liability Waiver Form
  • No obvious outside alcohol is allowed in the event space
  • Entry, participation, and access to event space and activities will be in accordance with the pass that each individual purchases. No one will be allowed to enter or participate in the event without the appropriate pass.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who behaves rudely or inappropriately.  This may include a forfeiture of your pass without refund and or a permanent ban from the event. 

Bama Jamma staff will be the final arbiter.
